For every contribution made to one of the organizations below, Ortman Mediation will match your gift up to $5,000. Even if you’re unable to donate, we guarantee an annual donation of at least $5,000 to each cause on behalf of Ortman Mediation.

Ortman Mediation proudly supports these causes, each working to make the world a little brighter:
Operation Mend
Providing world-class care for post-9/11 military members, veterans, and their families, Operation Mend addresses both the physical and psychological wounds of war. We were inspired to give to this organization by my son, Seppi, who is a 1Lt. currently on active duty as a combat engineer in the 10th Mountain Division, and by one of my former middle school students, Captain Josh Hunsucker, an Army Ranger and Bronze Star recipient who led over 400 missions while deployed to Baghdad and is currently an attorney in the Sacramento area.

Upward Roots
Upward Roots empowers youth to become leaders and agents of change through youth-led, youth-driven community service. The organization believes in every young person’s potential to positively impact their community and provides the environment and support needed to activate their abilities. By leading service projects on issues they care about, participants build empathy, recognize their impact, and grow as confident leaders.
Protect Our Winters
A team of athletes and climate advocates, POW fights to protect winter sports and the environment by promoting clean energy solutions and climate action. Check out their website and consider joining me in supporting this great organization’s work so we can preserve our love of the mountains and winter sports for future generations.
OakLuv Foundation
Founded by Tripper's friend and Oakland native Alex Cox, the OakLuv Foundation brings joy to the Oakland community by providing schools and families with essentials and holiday cheer through programs like their Secret Santa which ensures that children are provided not only with essentials for success, but also with stockings full of joy at Christmas time.
Soroptimist International of Capitola
Supporting women and girls in achieving their educational and life goals, Soroptimist raises funds through programs like “Live Your Dream,” giving women the tools they need for success. I have been working with my birth mother, Kate McGuire, who spearheads many of the fundraising efforts for the organization, to ensure that all women and girls who would like to participate in their programs have that opportunity.
